GROUND Wellbeing
A sustainable, therapist-centric product house and training provider, GROUND Wellbeing is the brainchild and passion project of award-winning spa consultant, Peigin Crowley, who founded the business in Ireland in 2020.
Since then, they have worked to honour their core belief that sincere wellbeing is heartfelt and inclusive, especially when it comes to looking after those with compromised health. This mindset is epitomised in their Barróg range of rituals and products, developed in partnership with Christine Clinton, founder and CEO of Christine Clinton Cancer Care, which specialises in teaching therapists how to work safely and effectively in a spa setting to support guests living with cancer.
Inspired by the Irish word meaning 'hug', the Barróg collection offers spas both treatment and retail options, in which ingredients have been thoroughly researched and carefully considered for even the most compromised and sensitive skin. Dermatologically tested and launched in 2022, each product supports and soothes the skin, whilst promoting overall wellbeing by encouraging moments of calm and rest when self-care is needed most.
Also through working with Christine, and guided by standards from Sue Harmsworth and the team at the SATCC, their accredited GROUND Cancer Care Program was developed to provide spa therapists with the knowledge and confidence to support those touched by cancer through the use of the Barróg rituals. Therapists who receive their training leave feeling empowered to modify and adapt treatments for the individual needs of each client, delivering meaningful bespoke treatments to those living with or beyond cancer.
