Why the SATCC?
"Huge progress has been made in understanding the role of exercise to support people before, during, and after cancer treatment, from preparing for surgery and chemotherapy to support the best outcomes, improving treatment tolerance, and helping to prevent cancer recurrence.
Now that we have measurable evidence to that effect, we need people like exercise physiologists and CanRehab fitness instructors in leisure centres and spas to have a little knowledge to signpost people to the right programme and get the support they need.
The SATCC is already doing an excellent job of engaging spaces beyond the medical environment to give people the holistic support they need. I know that CanRehab can support their work as well as add to the scope of lifestyle services the SATCC is sharing with people who need them."
