Why the SATCC?
"Having worked in many hotels, resorts and spas for almost 40 years, I am very aware of the need for those living with cancer to be able to enjoy safe and nurturing treatments and products. I have seen the distress for therapists and guests when they are unable to offer and receive suitable treatments. I feel very passionate about changing this.
I have also developed and adapted massages and facials for spa guests living with cancer, alongside designing the therapist training to support this, and I understand the amount of detail needed. It is essential to ensure that during training, therapists receive the correct information in a language that is easy to understand, and that this is delivered in a sensitive manner. I also see the huge importance of helping educate consumers on the modifiable lifestyle factors that affect our health.
Working with the SATCC, I truly believe we are achieving this and together, we will make a positive difference to the lives of many guests and therapists alike."
