Why the SATCC?

"When I was studying massage, I was shocked by some of the restrictions imposed on the spa and wellness industry at that time; in particular those living with or being treated for cancer.  I was familiar with cancer treatment from my time with the NHS and knew how it affected my patients.  My quest was to discover ways in which massage could be safely utilised for those undergoing treatment, in recovery, or living with cancer. This is embedded into the School of Natural Therapies’ ethos, where we also run post cancer surgery clinics, using trained massage volunteers who give their time freely for those living with mobility issues and muscular dysfunction.

I am delighted to be part of the SATCC Advisory Board. I love the aims and goals of the charity and being part of it allows me to support the SATCC vision through my medical experience, and many years of knowledge rooted in the massage world. As an added bonus, I get to share time with a fantastic group of industry colleagues, who also offer their incredible knowledge and experience as well."
