Why the SATCC?

“I am incredibly proud to be on the SATCC Advisory Board. This role brings together my professional experience in spa and hotel technology with my personal journey as a breast cancer survivor.

During my treatment, I was refused a massage due to a lack of training in cancer-safe protocols. It was deeply upsetting, and completely avoidable. No one navigating cancer should feel excluded from spaces designed for wellbeing.

I am driven to help spas collaborate with their partners to achieve proper training and certification in cancer touch therapy. By embedding these standards across the industry, we can introduce spa treatments that really support those who need them. I am equally committed to improving how spas communicate about cancer care, through clearer imagery, language, and reassurance from the very first online interaction. This builds trust, inclusivity, and enables confident, direct bookings. The SATCC’s mission strongly aligns with my own, and I’m honoured to support its work.”
